The Weigh In

Drum roll please *imagining drum rolls*...
January 27, 2014
What the...I don't feel like I weight 306.8 lbs, but I will take it with a grain of salt and except it. I originally had a video I was going to post along with this today, that sounded like a good idea at the time, but after editing and watching it...I rather I not post it...at least not today. I finally got to the gym today around 1 pm after debating if I should or not. I was going to jog to the gym too, but that didn't happen. But I thought I post my workout so that I have some kind of accountability to the small crowd who is reading this...or just me and my wife who are reading this. But I hope someone out there reading this will hold me accountable to my goals I have set.

Chest Day (Rep x Set x lbs)
  • 5 Min Jump Rope
  • 5 Min Elliptical
  • Bench Press: 10 x 10 x 135
  • Incline Dumbbell: Press 4 x 12 x 100
  • Chest Fly: 10 x 5 x 100
  • Push-ups:10 x 5
  • Crunches: 10 x 3.5 (Yes I said 3.5...I got some major stomach cramps after that 2nd set)
  • Stationary Bike: 5 Min

It wasn't much of a workout today, but I at least got there and did something. Tomorrow will be Arms, Shoulders and more Cardio!

Reminiscing of May 2006

My wife Lindsay and I were married in May of 2006. Truly the best day of our lives. But as we look back at wedding photos and the videos, this event has now become a depressing reminder of how far we have let ourselves go physically after the I dos'. I know many people will say or can relate and might say "it happens". But whither it is supposed to or not, I rather it not.

WEDDING DAY MAY 2006
Every morning I gaze into the mirror and thank the Lord that I am married. I don't think I would stand a chance out on the dating scene as a 31 yr old single adult looking the way I do. But as a 31 yr old husband and father of one...not too shabby! They say that the 30's is when most men should hit their physical peak because that is when our bodies are the most mature to grow and strengthen. I hope that is true in our attempt to return back to our physical state from BEFORE THE I DOS'.
